Patricia Bartell - A World of Color
Patricia Bartell holds a B.A. in Music Education and Performance. She teaches piano and accordion full time and travels worldwide as an adjudicator, professional performer and teacher. She conducts the Spokane Accordion orchestra, is involved in an Argentine Tango Quartet (Tango Volcado) and is the guest artist for the Hot Club of Spokane – a fantastic swing jazz group. Studying in France, under world-renowned accordion teacher Frederic Deschamps, led her to Bosnia October 2008 as the official USA judge for the international competition of the C.M.A (World Trophy for Accordion). In 2009 she will travel to Portugal as the USA adjudicator.
Patricia is a member of the Washington State Music Teachers' National Association. She has studied with Dr. Judith Schoepflin of Whitworth College and Kendall Feeney of the Golandsky Institute; the preeminent center for the Taubman Technique Approach. Her performances; whether individual, ensemble, or with other classical artists both in the USA and Europe, continue to receive high reviews. She has performed in numerous international competitions, claiming many international titles.
Jody Graves - Whispers of Light
Jody Graves maintains an exciting, diverse and active performing career, and is recognized nationally as a distinguished performing artist and teacher of piano. She has performed concerts in Austria, Norway, France, Scotland, Germany, Japan, and recently toured in the Persian Gulf serving as a Cultural Ambassador for the U.S. State Department. A Middle East Tour, with the Sapphire Trio, included concerts in Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The press reviews from the Middle East called their performances ‘mesmerizing’ and ‘emotional and imaginative’. (The Peninsula/Qatar) Dr. Graves is an Associate Professor of Piano at Eastern Washington University and Director of Keyboard Studies. She is in great demand as an adjudicator for piano competitions and festivals. Each season takes her across the country as an MTA clinician, and she has an active schedule as a workshop presenter for teachers.
Ms. Graves is especially interested in promoting concert art music, creating unique ways to foster a collaborative experience between artist and listener, and she is dedicated to maintaining the life of music in our schools and culture.
Jody Graves holds a Doctorate Degree in Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where she was the recipient of the distinguished Teacher of the Year award for her excellence in teaching. Tom Hall - Passion
When Tom Hall was born his mother declared, “He has piano playing fingers!” At age 12 his piano teacher discovered that Tom had been playing Bach “by ear” for 5 years. At age 15 he started teaching piano and won awards for classical music throughout high school and college.
Tom has taught piano students and teachers for over 35 years and looks forward to continuing to compose his own music to share with you.
“Passion” features a variety of original solo piano works performed on a Yamaha Concert Grand.

Val Wold - Beyond His Years...
Val started learning to play the piano at age 6. He gave his first public concert at age 7! Since then Val has been giving private and public concerts in Eastern and Western Washington, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, and South Dakota.
Val conducted his first television interview at age 8 and produced his first CD at age 9. His second CD, “Beyond His Years...”, was recently released.
Val continues a rigorous schedule of recording and performing including joining an orchestra in 2008 and performing his first piano concerto, with the Coeur d’Alene Youth Orchestra, in May 2009.
